About Attorney Britton C. Evers | Omega Law
When you are faced with the most challenging personal times of your life, and those times become confusing and complex legal troubles, you deserve a lawyer who listens first, explains clearly, and stands with you from start to finish. I’m Britton C. Evers, founder of Omega Law, a boutique Louisiana law firm serving clients in the Greater Baton Rouge Area. My practice focuses on family law and criminal defense law, with steady, compassionate, and practical guidance tailored to your life—not just your paperwork.
A Louisiana Lawyer for Louisiana Families
I was born and raised in New Orleans, and my roots in this state shape how I practice law. Louisiana is home. I love its people, its resilience, and its strong sense of community. That’s why I’ve built a client experience that’s personal, responsive, and grounded in compassion. If you’re looking for a Baton Rouge family law attorney or an immigration lawyer, you’ll find a firm that treats your case with the urgency and respect it deserves.
My Path to the Law
Before I became an attorney, I worked where the stakes were high and the needs were human.
As an environmental consultant after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, I oversaw portions of the rebirth of the communities most affected by the catastrophe.
At the Capital Area United Way in Baton Rouge, I helped thousands of caring Baton Rouge employees connect with dedicated non-profit organizations to get resources to those in our communities who needed them most.
Those years taught me that people, families, and futures are what it means to be human, and what is most important in life. That philosophy guides how I serve every client today.
Education & Credentials
Louisiana State University (LSU): B.A. in Communication Studies (focus on public speaking & rhetoric)
Southern University Law Center: J.D., 2018
Admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2019
Clear communication has always been central to my work. At Omega Law, you’ll get plain-language explanations, realistic expectations, and regular updates so you always know what’s happening in your case.
What I Do (and How I Help)
Family Law in the Greater Baton Rouge Area
Family matters are personal, emotional, and stressful enough on their own; adding the confusing law and unfamiliar court system to these already complex issues can completely overwhelm anyone. I help clients with:
- Divorce
- Child custody & visitation
- Child support & modifications
- Community Property Issues
- Child and Spousal Supports
- Adoption
- Protective orders
Every family is different but my approach to your case will always remain constant. In my experience, the longer a client stays in the legal system dealing with family matters, the larger the negative impact on their quality of life. My approach is to show you the end of your case before it begins, set checkpoints for success, and fight the whole way through until it is DONE.
Criminal Law in the Greater Baton Rouge Area
When faced with a criminal charge, life becomes unrecognizable with the stress of the possibilities of potential outcomes. These charges loom over not only the alleged person, but also greatly impact the well-being of loved ones. I represent clients in:
- DUI/DWI
- Theft
- Crimes of Violence
- Criminal Investigations
- Traffic
- Administrative Violations
I often handle cases where family law and criminal law intersect. For example, the results of a criminal charge can have an immense impact on a child custody, spousal support, divorce, or even community property case. You shouldn’t have to coordinate multiple firms to get answers. I connect the dots and guide you through each step, making sure we combine the two issues, streamline our plan of action, and constantly communicate and adapt as each case progresses.
How We’ll Work Together
Clients hire Omega Law because they want counsel that is hands-on, responsive, and strategic. Here’s what that looks like in practice:
I listen first. You’ll have space to share your story and your goals without being rushed.
You’ll get a clear plan. I outline your options, the likely timeline, and what to expect at each stage.
We act, steadily and decisively. I handle filings, deadlines, and negotiations while keeping you informed.
OMEGA drives your case. Omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet and is commonly representative of finality, or the ultimate end. At Omega Law, the end drives the beginning and the middle, as we keep our focus keen on getting this done, quickly, and with the BEST POSSIBLE RESULTS.
Communication runs Alpha to Omega. I have worked in firms that will prioritize your case when you fork over the money, then begin a steady and fatal decline in communications, leaving clients frustrated and confused. From the time of hire until the case is over, communication is our guarantee.
I have learned with the big firms that new business is the most important element of a successful law firm, and that “your next client is your most important client”. Omega Law rejects this idea. At Omega Law, YOU are the most important client. As a boutique firm, there is no profit incentive to pile case after case on junior attorneys regardless of experience or client satisfaction. Our select clientele receives our undivided attention. That means your calls and emails get answered, your filings are timely, and your case receives the diligence it deserves. I bring fresh energy and modern efficiency to your matter, balanced with the judgment that comes from years of real-world and legal service.
